"DANGLING STIRRUPS
Unlike the western stirrup, which is attached to a wide leather fender, an English stirrup is able to move around a lot because it hangs from a thin stirrup leather.
To prevent the stirrup from banging your horse’s sides and getting caught on something when you’re unmounted, secure the stirrup on the saddle:
Organizing the stirrup and leather this way will keep it locked in and secure. Take the stirrup leather down only when you’re ready to mount.
When you dismount, immediately run the stirrup up the leather. Keeping your stirrups organized will help keep you and your horse safe every time you ride."

Det är tur att man har många år på svensk ridskola med sig i bagaget så man slipper famla i mörkret som jänkarna!
